Jaye Liubinskas

JAYE LIUBINSKAS has been a part of Paradise Community Church most of her life. This talented 25 year-old began playing the piano at the age of five, saxophone from the age of 13, guitar from 15 and has been singing for as long as she can remember.

Her musical influences are varied, from tried and true Christian artists such as Keith Green to the classics of the seventies such as Simon and Garfunkel, Carole King and Bob Dylan. But she's a true Gen-Y, with contemporary tastes ranging from Imogen Heap, to Kings of Leon and Jeff Buckley.

Jaye began writing songs seriously from about the age of 16, as a means to help her make sense of the world around her, and as an outlet for her own emotions. And while that expression seemed to come easily, Jaye soon became determined not to write simply for its own sake.

"I wanted my songs to make a difference", she says.

"Whether that's in a church setting, on the radio, on a disc, or simply a voice with a guitar in a third world country, I wanted my writing to affect people."

"If a song that came out of me could make someone feel better, or help someone deal with their situation, that was the kind of song I wanted to write."

Jaye is now a principal songwriter for the Paradise worship team, with songs such as "Sovereign", "First Love" and "Your Story" featured on the latest CD from the Paradise Band, titled "Paradise". A talented all-rounder Jaye has been involved in writing, producing and playing on previous album projects at Paradise. She's also recognised as a passionate and sensitive worship leader, leading at major events in various parts of Asia and conferences such as the Infuencers Conference and Youth Alive, as well as in her own youth group at Paradise. Jaye toured Asia with the Paradise Band and has also played with Planet Shakers and Youth Alive. She has directed the music at many events and productions, sung at benefits and charity concerts and produced albums for local churches.
