The PARADISE BAND is one of Australia's most popular worship bands and features some of the nation's finest singers, musicians and songwriters. The worship experience that is "Paradise" has seen the Band thrust onto the world stage in recent years.
Hailing from Adelaide, Australia the band takes its name from its place of origin, Paradise Community Church. With a membership of over 6000 people, it is one of the largest and most influential churches in Australia.
Paradise Community Church has always been a place well known for its worship.
Recording artist and inaugural Australian Idol Winner, Guy Sebastian, grew up in the church and was a long serving member of the worship team before becoming one of Australia's favourite celebrities and thrusting the church into the national spotlight (Guy is currently residing in New York and working on the release of a new album, his song "Like it like that" is to be featured on NBC and he was named a Walt Disney Studios Ambassador).
The music of the Paradise Band is energetic and vibrant with flavours reminiscent of Hillsong United, Leeland and Phil Wickham. The band however retains a unique flavour with a passion, energy and sound all of its own.
From their first to last bar, the Paradise Band takes the worshipper on an exhilarating journey through euphoric, high-energy praise, iconic anthems and intimate ballads.
More than a band, Paradise is a unique and powerful worship experience which appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds.
The band's aim is to raise up worshippers and declare a message of great faith. To experience the Paradise Band "Live" is to see people encounter God's presence and move closer to Him.
The Paradise Band's latest release, simply entitled "Paradise" showcases a fresh new sound characterized by powerful guitars and crisp vocals. The album was mixed in Nashville by Grammy Award winning audio engineer, JR McNeeley (DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline and Third Day).
This new album includes some of the finest songs written by the Paradise Band, including "The Greatest Reason" by worship leader, Mark Anderson and "Sovereign" by key songwriter and band member, Jaye Liubinskas.
